Come Visit

Who is welcome?

You are!

Whether you grew up in church or have never been, you will be welcomed with open arms. There are countless reasons why people go to church, whether it’s because

  • you’re looking for a solid, Bible-believing church,
  • you want to grow in the Christian faith alongside other Christians who will care about you and keep you accountable,
  • you have doubts about the Christian faith and need a safe place to ask them,
  • you feel like there is something more to life and don’t know exactly what it is,

Whatever it may be, we would love to meet you. Jesus said,

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

– Matthew 11:28-30 English Standard Version

When should I come?

We have two worship services and one Sunday School hour:

  1. Worship 9:30 A.M. Sunday Morning
  2. Sunday School 10:45 A.M. Sunday Morning
  3. Worship 6:00 P.M. Sunday Evening

What is the worship service like?

We model our worship service similar to the original Reformed Christian worship services, with many different elements of worship the Bible gives Christians to use (e.g. prayer, confession of sin, confession of faith, preaching, etc.). We like to sing Hymns, Psalms, and other biblical songs that draw our hearts to worship God through the various human emotions.

How should I dress?

There are two different approaches people often take.

Some believe we should come as we are, since God cares more about coming to Him in humility and without worry to impress others with our appearance (Psalm 18:27 & 1 Timothy 2:8-10).

Others believe we should offer God our very best in all things. This includes what we wear. Not to impress but to glorify and honor God as we come into His holy presence (Leviticus 20:7 & 1 Corinthians 10:31).

There are merits to both sides. At Grace there are people who dress casually (jeans and t-shirts) and those who dress formally (suit and tie) and everything in between. It’s a mixed bag of people who seek to honor God without fear or judgement from others. However you decide to dress for church, just know that there is no reason to fear what others will think. That’s not why any of us go anyway. We’ll just be glad to see you.
